Yunnan,a trip that sucks and back to school

I'm back from my trip to Yunnan,China!I think this is the worst holiday I've ever had with the worst toilets you can ever use:no doors,no locks, can't flush, extremely stinky,a 'surprise' waiting for you in the toilet bowl...DISGUSTING!

Some parts are ok enough though, like this dinosaur fossil museum.(sorry, I won't be posting pictures or I'll take a week to transfer the photos from my phone to here.)There's lots of real dino skeletons and we saw a video about a giant asteroid crashing into Earth and destroying those dinos, though I already know about the asteroid theory and they should cut out the dramatic part about dinos ruling the world and take-care-of-Earth-or-an-asteroid-will-come-crashing-on-us-and-wipe-out-mankind.

We also watched a show called Dream Yunnan about this old American nutter taking his granddaughter to Yunnan(I managed to film a bit of the show before this nut told me to stop filming.)and another show showing the cultures of different minority races, though if they think they're being discreet about the changing of backgrounds then they're wrong.

The food?I'm pretty glad about eating char kuey teow again because they serve us grub like extremely fatty duck,tough-to-chew ostrich meat, fried chrysanthemum and believe it or not, fried bee larvae!I was wondering what was that fried stuff sitting next to the cordyceps so I picked up a piece and ate it.It tasted so disgusting that if I wasn't eating with the rest of the tour group I'd spit it out onto my plate. After I swallowed that piece of fried grub, the tour guide came over to explain that the fried stuff is bee larvae.I lost my appetite for the rest of lunch then.

We went to the Snow Mountain as well.As the name implies, there's snow on the mountain though if you ask me it seems more like ice than snow. Before we went up the mountain we bought a can of oxygen cos the mountain top is thousands of meters above sea level,so we might have difficulty breathing. It was fun at first until the thin oxygen level got the better of me so I had to get down the mountain by cable car.Mind you, even at the bottom of the mountain we're still 2 thousand meters above sea level.

I spent Christmas in Yunnan so the tour guide gave us presents:an apple and a Santa hat.I didn't like the fact that all of us are supposed to take a group photo wearing those silly hats when the tour guide doesn't need to wear it at all.At least for the first time in years I got a proper present for Christmas. No, I don't mean the hats, dummies!I got a bangle that's worth RM15.I like the design though.

Groan,I've got to go back to school on the second for an orientation camp while everybody goes back on the fifth...
