The Academic Fair...

Okay...I woke up at 5 am like on a normal school day, mainly because every single student has to attend school on Saturday even though it's academic fair day, so I had to take the bus at 6 am as usual.(the main point 0f waking 15 minutes earlier than bro is so I don't have to wait for a long time for him to finish doing his hair)

Although the notice said that "classes" start at 7:30, it isn't until 8:45 (nearly two hours after I got to the school) that anybody took the roll call, though nearly every single club took the roll about an hour earlier. As for taking the roll, if you aren't present at all, they'll take marks off. Sweet.

Listened to epic speech by the deputy minister of education, with reporters and photographers everywhere, and tons of teachers and bigger students squeezing the breath out of my tiny frame while trying to take a glimpse at what's happening, which isn't helped by the fact that some of the banners are blocking their view, which made some students and teachers stand on chairs, which in turn made them more prone to getting shoved off and fall... from the fourth storey.

After managing to get away, sat down and read Artemis Fowl for the rest of the speech. Then went round with Nat to some of the exhibits. We went to the History club, which is doing an exhibit of the Egyptians, with a few models(some shoddily made so it looks rather funny) to boot. Also went to English society. Whoever scrawled those letters on the extra big sheets of paper really needed to make his writing tidier. Then we made some little dough dolls at the Chinese society booth. Mine crumbled. Nat's doll fell off it's stick. Watched how a Malay wedding ceremony's carried out. Also watched the wind orchestra perform and a Hindu dance with music set too loud( we're not deaf okay)

Made a furball at the Handicrafts place. Played aorund with kendamas and looked at the dolls and kimonos at the Japanese society booth. Didn't try on the kimonos or take pictures with the cosplayers though. The cosplayers were so bored until they fell asleep on the sofa they were sitting on.

Then we went to the pet exhibit. Those hamsters were so damn cute! So were the rabbits and the hedgehog and mice and albino hedgehogs! One of the hamsters was pregnant. The poor mice don't know that their fate is to be eaten by Mr Lee's ( the P.E teacher) pet snake. There was also a prawn, tortoises, fish, turtles, some kind of reptile and... an eight legged monstrosity with eight eyes. Then Mr Tan (the teacher who owns the normal hedgehog) decided to put his pet hedgehog into the tank containing the albino hedgehogs for some fun. His hedgehog immediately went up to the male albino instead of the female and humped it. Turn's out it's gay. The female went hyper.

Ahahaha...
