The government's scrapping PPSMI, and there's lots of people fuming about it all around the country, not including most of my classmates. I'm pretty mad myself, I mean, I'm sick of being a guinea pig and they're reverting to BM in 2012, and unless I'm gonna study Matriculation, I'm going to have to learn Science and Maths in BM from Form 4 To Form 5. That means at least 7 years down the drain for me. I'm not sure if Dong Zhong's going to scrap it next year for my school, so for the time being it's 7 years down the drain.
Due to the H1N1 pandemic, our school is taking drastic measures, and this includes disinfecting the classrooms ourselves. So out comes RM 52 from the class fund, and we get new mops, buckets, a 5 litre container of Dettol disinfectant and 2 spray cans of, well, disinfectant. Every day, we are to wipe the chairs, tables, windows and doors with disinfectant. And after school, some of us have to stay back to mop the floor with yet more disinfectant clean the windows and doors and spray the air with, you guessed it, disinfectant.
And that is why my eyes are stinging: the class that the club uses has been cleaned with too much disinfectant.
